 What if they're right?


If you're reading this you might be coming to the realization that this keto thing might have something to it.  Too many people are talking about it and all around you people around you are shrinking.  At this point you might be starting to think that a low-carb, ketogenic or carnivore lifestyle might be the answer for you too. The "low fat - eat less - move more" diet sure hasn't worked for you yet right?  That's because eating less, moving more, and starving our body of essential fat is not the path to true health.  

The truth is, weight loss (or gain) is ruled by insulin.


When insulin is high it's because our blood sugars are high.  Insulin is a hormone that is responsible for dealing with our blood sugars and directing them into cells to be used for energy.  When blood sugars are too high, insulin directs the sugars to be stored in the form of fat for later use.  The problem is, you never get a chance to access that fat for energy because you keep refueling with carbs.  If you continue down this path, you may end up fighting more than just weight gain.
